Gentle, indirect light. Filter stronger sun rather than exposing the leaves to a hot beam.
Allow the orchid medium to partly dry, then water with tepid water and drain completely. Keep water from lingering in the crown.
A free-draining, bark-based orchid medium rather than dense houseplant soil.
Keep warm and away from abrupt temperature changes. Flowers can last for many weeks.
Wrinkled leaves can reflect dry conditions or damaged roots; examine the medium and roots before adding more water.
Check inside an outer cachepot after watering so the clear nursery pot is not left soaking.
A bark-based orchid medium provides the air and drainage these roots need. Ordinary dense soil is unsuitable.
